R17.7 | Viper
Release highlights:
#1:
Trend Micro Vision One licensing baked-in.
The final piece of the CleanRoom 3 puzzle is now in place. With Trend Micro licences incorporated into your Predatar subscription, the requirement to purchase them separate and configure licence keys as part of a CleanRoom deployment has gone away. The result… faster, easier deployments with best-in-class XDR (Extended Endpoint Detection & Response) capabilities right out of the box.
#2:
Mesh scanning available as standard
Mesh scanning is the concept of running workloads through two or more cyber security tools to maximise the chances of successful threat identification. Previously in Predatar, this feature was not available in a standard deployment and would require significant configuration. With R17.7, Predatar customers with a CleanRoom 3 deployment can enable mesh scanning with simple toggle switches in the CleanRoom Settings menu. By enabling both Trend Micro and ClamAV, customers can leverage TrendMicro’s best-in-class XDR capabilities and the ClamAV OpenSource antivirus engine as part of their automated workflows.
#3:
Enhanced Node Status Logic
The data explorer interface within Predatar provides customisable views of users’ backup environment, enabling them to uncover insights and focus on what matters most. By overhauling the logic that calculates the status of every node, we’ve made it easier for users to understand which workloads are at risk, and why. For example, any node where malware has been detected will now be marked with an F grade, highlighted in red, and tagged as ‘at risk.’
